Cryptocurrency Miners earns money from advertising and from affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works and what it does not affect.
What an affiliate link is
Some outbound links on this site, particularly to mining hardware retailers, manufacturers and exchanges, are affiliate links. If you follow one and go on to buy something or open an account, we may receive a commission from that company. The price you pay is not increased by using our link.
What affiliate relationships never affect
- Verdicts. Whether hardware is worth buying is decided on the research, not on whether a retailer has a programme.
- Numbers. Profitability calculations, hashrate figures and efficiency ratings are computed the same way regardless of any commercial relationship.
- Coverage decisions. We do not add or drop coverage of a product or company because of an affiliate arrangement.
- Ranking. Where we compare hardware, the ordering reflects the criteria stated on the page.
We do not accept payment for favourable coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content dressed up as independent editorial. Advertising is labelled as advertising.
Where affiliate links are not used
We keep affiliate links off safety-critical content: scam warnings, security guidance, and pages whose purpose is to help a reader avoid losing money. A page warning you about fraudulent cloud-mining schemes should not also be trying to sell you something.
How disclosure appears
Where a page contains affiliate links, it says so on the page, near the content rather than hidden in the footer. This page is the full statement of our position.
