About

Last updated July 25, 2026

Cryptocurrency Miners is an independent crypto news and education publication with something most crypto sites do not have: a real mining beat.

What we do

We cover cryptocurrency the way someone who actually watches the network reads it, from hashrate to headlines. That means the usual and necessary ground of news, market analysis, blockchain explainers, trading guides and NFTs and Web3, plus the part almost everyone else treats as a footnote: mining. Hashrate, difficulty, block rewards, halvings, ASIC and GPU hardware, profitability and the proof-of-work versus proof-of-stake argument.

A site called Cryptocurrency Miners that did not cover mining seriously would be a wasted name. So we built The Miner’s Dashboard first: live network hashrate, mining difficulty, block reward, block height and halving countdowns across the major proof-of-work chains, with a profitability estimator that uses your electricity price rather than a flattering default.

What we will not do

Crypto media has a credibility problem, and most of it comes from a small number of habits. We have written ours down as commitments rather than aspirations, in our editorial guidelines. In short: we do not invent authors, we do not present education or analysis as financial advice, we do not claim to have tested hardware we have not tested, we do not sell coverage, and we do not promise mining returns.

That last one is worth stating plainly. Mining profitability depends on your electricity cost, your hardware, network difficulty, the block reward and the coin price. Several of those move daily and one of them, difficulty, generally moves against you. If you run our calculator at a typical household electricity rate, you will often see a negative number. We show it, because the alternative is a marketing brochure.

Where our numbers come from

All live data is proxied through our own servers from public sources: block explorers for network metrics, and keyless market data for prices. There is no paid data vendor between you and the number, and no API key that can quietly expire and leave a stale figure on screen. The full detail, including the exact profitability formula and its limitations, is on our methodology page.

Who we are

Editorial content is published under the Cryptocurrency Miners editorial desk, a collective byline, with a human editor accountable for every claim. We explain that choice honestly on our team page: we would rather publish under an accurate collective name than invent journalists who do not exist.

Our history, stated accurately

The cryptocurrencyminers.net domain was registered in 2025, and the publication relaunched in its current form in 2026. We state it that way on purpose. An inflated founding date is exactly the kind of trust signal a reader cannot check and should not have to take on faith.

How we make money

Advertising and clearly disclosed affiliate links. Affiliate status never changes a verdict, a number or a recommendation, and affiliate links are kept off safety-critical content. The details are in our affiliate disclosure.
